Plain-language summary: QuickKit does not require an account. Most utility data stays on your device. The free version may use Google Mobile Ads, and Google Play processes purchases when you buy the lifetime ad-free upgrade.
This Privacy Policy explains how QuickKit: Smart Tools (the “App,” “QuickKit,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) accesses, uses, stores, and shares information. It also explains the choices available to you. By using QuickKit, you acknowledge the practices described here.
1. Information stored locally
QuickKit can store the following information only on your device so its tools work as expected:
- Favorites, recent tools, settings, counters, notes, and checklists.
- Scanner history and generated tool results.
- Optional profile details such as a name and email address.
- Optional emergency and medical notes that you enter.
QuickKit does not upload this local tool data to a QuickKit server. It remains until you clear it in the App, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App.
2. Device permissions
QuickKit requests a permission only when you open a feature that needs it:
- Camera: to scan QR codes and barcodes and to control the flashlight.
- Microphone: to estimate ambient sound levels while the Sound Meter is open. Audio recordings are not saved by QuickKit.
- Photos and media: to select an image for metadata removal or scan a code from the gallery.
- Vibration: to provide haptic feedback and emergency attention signals.
- Keep screen awake: to keep active tools visible while you use them.
You can change permissions in Android Settings. Some tools may not work without their required permission.
3. Advertising
The free version of QuickKit may display banner and occasional interstitial advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process information such as:
- Advertising or device identifiers.
- IP address and approximate location inferred from it.
- Ad impressions, interactions, diagnostics, and fraud-prevention signals.
- Device, operating-system, and App information.
Google acts under its own privacy terms. Advertising may be personalized, non-personalized, limited, or restricted depending on your region and consent choices. In the EEA, United Kingdom, and other applicable regions, QuickKit will request consent through Google’s consent platform before requesting ads where required.
You may review Google’s practices in the Google Privacy Policy and Advertising Technologies page.
4. Lifetime premium purchase
QuickKit may offer a non-consumable lifetime purchase that removes advertising. Payments and purchase restoration are processed by Google Play. Google may process purchase tokens, transaction history, product identifiers, device information, and diagnostic information.
QuickKit does not receive your full payment-card details. Google Play manages payment and receipts. See the Google Privacy Policy.
5. How information is used
Information is used to operate requested tools, remember local preferences, provide and measure advertising, prevent fraud, process and restore purchases, diagnose failures, comply with law, and maintain the security of the App.
6. Sharing
QuickKit does not sell your locally stored notes, profile details, favorites, scanner history, or emergency information. Information may be processed by Google AdMob, Google Play, and infrastructure providers only for the purposes described above. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a legitimate business transfer.
7. Retention and deletion
Local App data remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall QuickKit. Advertising, fraud-prevention, consent, and purchase records are retained by the relevant service provider according to its policies and legal obligations. You can clear recent tools and scanner history in Settings and remove other local content from the relevant tool.
QuickKit does not currently create a server-side QuickKit account. Instructions for deleting local information and requesting assistance are available on our Data Deletion page.
8. Security
We limit collection, use Android platform protections, and use encrypted network connections where supported by third-party services. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
QuickKit is a general-audience utility app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a QuickKit account. If you believe a child has provided information that should be removed, contact us.
10. International processing
Google may process information in countries other than your own. Its processing is governed by its policies and applicable transfer safeguards.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing and to withdraw consent. You can revisit advertising privacy choices from the App where available or contact us for assistance. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as QuickKit changes. The latest version will be published here with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the App.
